About PlayFree

PlayFree is an independent browser-game project maintained by Mike. The goal is a small library of short, understandable games that work on phones and computers without an account.

Who creates the site

Mike designs, implements, writes and tests the PlayFree releases. Questions and reproducible bug reports can be sent to mikefeng2013@gmail.com.

Originality policy

Trend lists are used to study broad player needs such as short sessions, readable feedback and one-finger controls. PlayFree does not copy another game’s code, art, names, level layouts, text, sound or protected brand elements. Familiar public-domain mechanics are explicitly labelled as classic-rule editions.

Quality process

  1. Define a distinct decision or skill the game asks the player to learn.
  2. Build the complete loop, including start, feedback, finish, restart and pause where meaningful.
  3. Test keyboard, pointer and touch controls at desktop and phone sizes.
  4. Verify game-specific risks such as solvability, timing fairness, accidental touches and local score storage.
  5. Publish the rules, strategy, FAQ and dated QA note alongside the game.
