What is distinct here
Rail Weave is a small route-planning game where three junction states determine the courier destination. The requested station is visible before dispatch, so the challenge is reading the route rather than reacting to a surprise result.
Rules
- Each round requests one of four color-coded stations.
- Junction A chooses the upper or lower rail pair; junction B selects an upper station and junction C selects a lower station.
- Set the switches while the courier is waiting, then dispatch it. Switches lock during travel.
- A correct delivery earns at least 100 points and grows the streak; a wrong station removes one of three signals.
Strategy tips
- Read the requested station color first, then set the main fork before either smaller branch.
- The Dispatch button names the current destination, so use it as a final route check.
- A wrong delivery resets the streak; slow down for one round instead of losing another signal.
What we tested
Each switch combination is traced through the rail graph to a deterministic station. Tests cover all junction states, requested destinations, dispatch penalties, successful deliveries, keyboard shortcuts, touch buttons, pause and restart.
Frequently asked questions
Is Rail Weave a timing game?
Route planning is the main skill. The courier travels automatically after Dispatch, while consecutive correct deliveries increase its speed and your score bonus.
Why can I not change a junction while the courier moves?
A route locks when dispatched so the outcome stays readable and fair. The controls unlock for the next requested station.
Does Rail Weave collect or upload my score?
No. Only the highest score is stored in this browser; no account or personal information is required.
