What is distinct here

Switchback Sprint adds a preview-and-commit rhythm to a tiny route puzzle. Players can queue only two rooftop steps, inspect every landing cell, then choose whether to dispatch or undo before risking a signal.

Rules

  1. Each round uses a connected 5×5 rooftop with six blocked vents, one courier and one reachable signal parcel.
  2. Queue one or two orthogonal moves. Cyan numbers show every landing cell before you commit.
  3. A route that hits the roof edge or a vent costs one of three signals, clears the queue and leaves the courier in place.
  4. Deliver six parcels to win. Clean movement, preserved signals and quick decisions build a higher score saved only in this browser.

Strategy tips

  • Read both cyan numbered previews before sprinting; a red route slot means that step meets an edge or vent.
  • Use a one-step burst around tight corners and save two-step bursts for open rooftop lanes.
  • When a parcel moves after delivery, stop and plan again from the courier’s actual landing cell.

What we tested

Obstacle layouts are rejected unless every open cell remains connected and parcels spawn only on reachable cells. Tests cover the two-step queue, unsafe previews, undo, collisions, six deliveries, pause, restart and touch controls.

Frequently asked questions

Is every Switchback Sprint parcel reachable?

Yes. Obstacle layouts are accepted only when every open rooftop cell remains connected, and each new parcel is selected from the courier’s reachable cells.

Why did the courier stay still after I pressed Sprint?

One queued step met the roof edge or a blocked vent. The red preview identifies the unsafe step before dispatch; undo it and choose another direction.

Does Switchback Sprint upload my route or score?

No. Only the best score is stored locally in this browser, and the game needs no account or personal information.
