What is distinct here
Foldprint Lab asks players to reverse a visible folding history and reconstruct every layer pierced by one punch. Direction labels and target hole counts make the result deducible rather than a hidden-image guessing exercise.
Rules
- Every puzzle starts with an 8×8 sheet. Each numbered arrow says which half moves across the center crease; follow the folds from one onward.
- After the final fold, one marked square on the small packet is punched through every layer beneath it.
- On the original 8×8 sheet, mark every cell contained in that punched stack. The required print grows from 4 holes to 8 and then 16 across three sheets.
- An exact print clears the sheet. A complete but incorrect print costs one of three signals; one optional reveal locks a correct hole but reduces the final score.
Strategy tips
- Work backward from the final punch. Undo the last fold first, mirror every current hole across that crease, then continue toward fold one.
- Read which half moved. If the left half folded right, the small packet coordinates sit on the stationary right half before you mirror them back left.
- Use the target count as a checksum: the three sheets must end with 4, 8 and 16 distinct holes, so a missing mirror is easy to detect before checking.
What we tested
Coordinate stacks are generated by simulating every fold on the original 8×8 sheet. Tests verify the 4-, 8- and 16-hole answers, undo and reveal locks, duplicate prevention, incorrect checks, pause behavior and full completion.

Yes. The game tracks every original 8×8 coordinate through each fold, then uses the exact stack beneath the visible punch as the answer.
Why do fold directions matter?
Left-to-right and right-to-left folds leave the packet on different stationary halves. Reversing the wrong direction mirrors holes into different rows or columns.
Does Foldprint Lab upload my folds or score?
No. Only the best completed score is stored locally in this browser; puzzle moves and marks remain in the current session.
