What is distinct here
Compass Chorus combines short visual memory with an explicit spatial transformation. Its defining choice is to keep the input pad fixed while the player rotates every remembered direction, making the rule itself—not speed or hidden content—the core challenge.
Rules
- Each round plays a three- to six-beat sequence using North, East, South and West. Adjacent beats never repeat.
- After the preview, rotate every remembered direction by the single displayed turn: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise.
- Enter the transformed chorus on the fixed compass pad. One wrong direction consumes a signal, clears the entry and replays the original sequence.
- Complete eight generated rounds before losing three signals. Two optional replays are available, and the best completed score stays only in this browser.
Strategy tips
- Translate one anchor first. With a 90° clockwise turn, North becomes East; apply the same step around the compass to every remaining beat.
- Group longer choruses into pairs instead of memorizing six isolated arrows. Transform each pair only after the preview ends.
- Save the two replays for five- and six-beat rounds. A wrong answer already replays the chorus, but it also costs one of three signals.

Does the compass pad rotate with the sequence?
No. The four input buttons always stay in their normal screen positions. Only the remembered directions are transformed by the angle shown on the rule card.
Can Compass Chorus generate an ambiguous answer?
No. Every output direction is calculated from one visible rotation and one original direction. Automated tests verify all mappings and replay full proof sequences across 160 generated sets.
Does Compass Chorus record my microphone or upload my inputs?
No. The game uses visual direction beats rather than microphone access. Active inputs remain in the session, and only the best completed score is stored locally in this browser.
